Spring Drama Production Takes Audiences on a Time-Traveling Adventure
Drama students closed the spring season with a playful one-act comedy, followed by three original student-written plays at the Emily Gates Performing Arts Center.
On May 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2026, San Marin High School drama students presented How to Make a Sandwich in 20 Easy Steps When All You Have Is a Time Machine at the Emily Gates Performing Arts Center.
Written by Brendan Main and directed by Brad Smith, the whimsical one-act comedy blended culinary confusion, time travel, and plenty of unexpected twists. The production gave audiences of all ages an entertaining look at what can happen when a simple task becomes a journey through time.
Following a short intermission, the evening continued with three original student-written plays. These performances gave student playwrights and actors the opportunity to share their own stories, humor, and creative ideas onstage.
The spring production celebrated the imagination, collaboration, and talent of the drama program, both in performance and behind the scenes. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported the students throughout the run.
